Version 1.2 of Testing Nutritional Status: The Ultimate Cheat Sheet is out!

If you already purchased it, you should have the free update in your inbox.

If you don't have it yet, you can learn more about it here.

What's new about version 1.2:

    • The niacin and riboflavin sections have been completely overhauled to reflect the intensive research I did on these two nutrients for the last few podcasts.
    • It's now available in four formats: in addition to the PDF, Kindle, and iBook formats, there is a now a printer-friendly PDF where the links are all replaced by page number references, so you can flip through it as easily as you can click through the digital versions.

This is my recipe to empower you to banish any deficiency or nutritional imbalance from your body.

I've been through the pain of my teeth falling apart, my stomach being in constant pain, and my OCD going off the rails during my stint with veganism, to the point where panic attacks were the norm and I was afraid to eat any of the food in my house.

I've been through the path of healing, using nutrient-dense animal foods to nourish all the systems of my body and become a new person.

But I've also learned that my needs change over time. The red meat and liver that were so healing in my recovery from veganism later started sapping my energy and brain power, only to find out I'm genetically predisposed to iron overload and need to manage it with blood donations.

And I've learned from friends, colleagues, and clients that everyone is different.⠀

Your needs are not mine. Mine aren't what they were ten years ago. Yours won't be what they are now in ten years.

That's why we need a precise recipe to know exactly what's missing, exactly what's overloaded, and exactly what's imbalanced… and an action plan to fix things… and a way to measure our success.

That's what I've tried to to with Testing Nutritional Status: The Ultimate Cheat Sheet. Check it out here!

  1. Yeah for the Ultimate Cheat Sheet! Used it to fix my neuropathy—itching and burning pins and needles in one or the other foot in the middle of the night roughly every other week for the last several decades. I am a woman in my mid 60s, otherwise healthy and on a good diet. Cronometer dietary analysis indicated I was only getting about 85% of RDA for vitamin E and the Cheat Sheet indicated a relationship with neuropathy. On October 1 I started taking one Jarrow Toco-Sorb every other day and no instances of neuropathy since then.

  2. Hi Chris,

Your cheat sheet says: “Testing Manganese Status: Manganese should be measured in whole blood (LabCorp) or red blood cells (Quest) and not in plasma or serum.”

But the Institute of Medicine (see https://www.nap.edu/read/10026/chapter/12#399),
    says:

“Several studies reported that serum or plasma manganese concentrations respond to dietary intake… In a depletion trial… concentrations were significantly lower… An advantage of whole blood manganese concentration over plasma or serum manganese concentration as an indicator is that slight hemolysis of samples can markedly increase plasma or serum manganese concentrations. Whole blood manganese seems to be extremely variable, however, which may preclude it as a viable status indicator. In a manganese depletion study… there was not a significant difference.”

    Can you elaborate?

    Thanks!

    Best,
    -Eric

  3. Have you made any videos or written anything regarding tissue healing and nerve regeneration/loss of sensation specifically after damage from surgery? I just filled out a topic suggestion, but was wondering if there is anywhere you could point me to…

    Thanks!
