Well to be perfectly honest I didn't know that, but I didn't actually write that the last one was 106 years ago, because everything in that paragraph is hypothetical, using recent examples, but of course they are examples from the last couple of decades. For example, Justin Bieber was born considerably before the 2004 transit, and the last one before that was over a century before, but now that I look it up, I see it was 122 years before rather than six. But I won't pretend I knew that when I wrote it, so thanks! 😉

I know astronomy isn't your field, but Venus transits come in pairs 8 years apart, and it last transited the sun in 2004, not 106 years ago.
